I just attended the Southwest Steel Guitar show in Mesa Arizona over the weekend. It's a great event if you love steel guitar. So many great players. AND vendors. I have to give a shout out to Dave Beaty and his crew at Telonics Pro Audio who support the show, and also showcase their amazing amps and volume pedals in their vendor room and on stage as backline. Their products are engineered to the highest standards of quality, and design.
I use their FP-100 multi-taper volume pedal, and I've had it about 10 years. It's magic. It's done 2000+ shows without failure. I told Dave how much I liked it and he said - “we'll update it for you, no charge!” OMG - what great customer service.! My pedal was one of the first out - so they took it back to the shop and added the new tapers that have been available on new pedals, and updated my power supply and basically gave me a ‘new’ pedal. Again, no charge.
Their amps are amazing for steel guitar, or electric guitar. Light and powerful with a range of clean tones that are to die for. And make good platforms for pedalboard users. Tele players take note!
I learned at the show that they will be suspending production of the amps for a while due to changes in staff. Until they can find replacements that can do the work to their high qualtiy standards, when their current inventory is gone - that's it for a while. If you were at the show - the amps were selling at a ‘show discount’.
Check them out! You can find info and manuals for their products online here… https://www.telonics.com/products/proaudio/
